This scene occurs well after Thomas has overheard Marcus and Amandine first enjoying each other then exploding in a fight (that is comic to the audience because it’s so over the top).
INT. COMMUNAL HOUSE, KITCHEN – CONTINUOUS
Thomas is alone now. Marcus, wearing a T-shirt and running shorts now, comes out holding sneakers and socks.
MARCUS: Hey dude.
THOMAS: Hey.
MARCUS: Sorry about all the commotion.
Marcus puts on the socks and laces up his sneakers.
THOMAS: It’s fine. I mono-focus. Didn’t hear a thing.
MARCUS: I just… sometimes. You know?
THOMAS: Amandine?
MARCUS: Throwing one of her French diva things.
THOMAS: Yeah… well, sometimes there’s a cultural divide.
MARCUS: I don’t mean that. It just… you know. Drama.
Marcus stands up and begins to do dynamic stretching.
THOMAS: Yeah. Drama sucks.
MARCUS: Sometimes, she’s so much work.
THOMAS: But she’s worth it, right?
MARCUS: Yeah, yeah of course. I just need to take a run. You know? Run off… le frustration.
THOMAS: Good idea.
MARCUS: Let’s get some brews tomorrow night, after my tutoring sessions. (Gesturing toward the papers) We can celebrate you being done with that shit, and me not killing the tuba player.
