In plain English, the Gotham will hold donated funds – minus a modest administration fee – in escrow until the producer of the specific independent film is ready to withdraw funds for production or post-production purposes.  The person or organization making the donation has therefore both made a tax deductible donation as well as receiving the safety and imprimatur of The Gotham (aka IFP).
